Setting Up Google Authenticator

The preferred method for Two-Step Verification with the Skyword platform is through the Google Authenticator app. This app is free and can be installed on most major mobile operating systems, including Android and iOS. If this is first time you're using Google Authenticator, please follow these steps to install and sync with your Skyword account.

To setup on an Android device:

  1. Launch Google Play
  2. Search for "Google Authenticator"
  3. Download and install
  4. Once installed, launch the Google Authenticator app
  5. Select "Add an Account"
  6. Select either "Scan a barcode" or "Enter provided key"

    Note: A separate barcode scanner app may have to be installed if you select this option
  7. Launch create.skyword.com and follow the Two-Step Verification guide

To setup on an iOS device:

  1. Launch the App Store
  2. Search for "Google Authenticator"
  3. Download and install
  4. Once installed, launch the Google Authenticator app
  5. Select the "Pencil" icon in the top right corner.
  6. Select the + icon
  7. Select "Time Based"
  8. Select either "Scan Barcode" or "Manual Entry"
  9. Launch create.skyword.com and follow the Two-Step Verification guide
